From May 25th to 28th, 2022, the Skill Web Technologies of the 2022 BRICS Skills Competition was successfully held online! The competition was jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China, the BRICS Business Council, and the People's Government of Xiamen Municipality. It was hosted by the China Education Association for International Exchange, the Vocational Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education, and the Skills Development Working Group of the BRICS Business Council, and executed by the Xiamen BRICS Future Skills Development and Technological Innovation Research Institute. The event featured 40 domestic teams and 5 international teams competing online remotely under the same English operating environment.

Zhonghui Yunqi Technologies Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: Zhonghui Group), as the technical support unit for the Web Technologies of the competition launch, provided support and services such as competition equipment, technical personnel, and event guarantees.

Closing Ceremony

Liu Zhenying, Chairman of the Skills Development Working Group of the BRICS Business Council, Li Ming, Deputy Director of the Office of the BRICS Innovation Base Construction Leading Group in Xiamen, representatives of the BRICS Five Nations Skills Working Group, Rector of the Russian Far Eastern State Transport University Burovtsev Vladimir V, Rector of the Laos Pakpasak Technical College Bounpheng Somchanmavong, as well as chief experts of each event of the launch competition, co-hosting units, and technical support units attended the closing ceremony. Nearly 300 representatives, experts, and contestants from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and other countries participated in the closing ceremony through a combination of online and offline formats.

Li Wen, Deputy General Manager of Zhonghui Group, attended the closing ceremony and delivered a speech. Li Wen introduced the basic situation of Zhonghui Group as a supporting unit for the Skill Web Technologies the company's qualifications, and experience in organizing competitions.

Web Technologies

The Skill Web Technologies is conducted in the form of an individual competition, which includes four modules. Each module has a competition duration of 2.5 hours, totaling 10 hours for the entire competition. Participants are required to complete all competition tasks according to the requirements of the questions and submit their competition results to the remote server in a timely manner as required.

The Skill Web Technologies of he 2022 BRICS Skills Competition was successfully held, not only testing the comprehensive strength of teachers and students from vocational colleges in BRICS countries and enhancing their professional qualities, but also building a platform for cooperation between BRICS countries' schools and enterprises, strengthening exchanges and cooperation between vocational colleges and enterprises, and effectively promoting the cultivation of high-quality international skilled talents.

For the first time, the competition adopted online remote competition, innovating a new model of exchange and cooperation among the BRICS countries, further building a bridge for BRICS cooperation and laying the foundation for future cooperation and exchange in the fields of economy, education, humanities, and science and technology among BRICS countries.
