The WorldSkills ASEAN is the largest platform for showcasing vocational techniques and professional skills within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. It has introduced the goals of the WorldSkills Movement into Southeast Asia. This skills competition originated from an agreement reached among ASEAN member states in 1993, aiming to raise the skills standards in the ASEAN region to the international level and inspire young people to enhance their skills and knowledge. The event is held every two years and is hosted by ASEAN member states in turn. The WorldSkills ASEAN 2025 is scheduled to be held in August of the same year at the World Trade Center in Manila, the Philippines. By then, approximately 300 competitors from the ten ASEAN countries will showcase their abilities in 25 different fields including technology and hospitality services.
